Dr. Susan M. Schneible
Dr. Schneible joined the Buffalo Veterinary Group at Boston Valley Animal Hospital in 2024. She comes to us from Banfield of Orchard Park, NY. Susan is a graduate of the Cornell College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (BS, Animal Sciences) and Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. Susan is empathetic and exacting. Animal health has been at the center of her life, for her lifetime. She credits her late father, Dr. Paul G. Schneible, with nurturing her interest in this calling and giving her a model for caring for animals great and small, and their people. Her pets currently include a Treewalker hound (Copper) and two dwarf Nigerian goats (Rose & Blanche).
When they aren't well...
We want to figure it out. Usually, the more we can learn the better. If we can identify the disease process or injury, we can then best determine how to address it. Tests are often necessary to best understand what is going on. We utilize blood work, urine and fecal testing, as well as imaging (radiographs/x-rays, and ultrasound) to explore what is happening with your pet. Dr. Schneible's particular areas of interest for many sick and aging pets are:
- Identify the process and if possible alleviate it, or at least manage the symptoms
- Dental care
- Pain management/control
- Maintenance of chronic disease
- Surgical needs, as well as managing injuries and wounds
- Mass removals
